The BCBA Convention is an annual event where senior management and directors from community banks across Kentucky come to learn about the topics and products that are shaping today’s financial industry. Held in August at the at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, this multi-day event includes a welcome reception, keynote presentations and entertainment, sessions on various topics pertinent to community banking, and an optional golf outing. During the convention, we also conduct a silent auction whose proceeds are used to fund the Charles D. Bennett Scholarship. The scholarship pays the full tuition of banking school and is awarded to an employee of a member bank who has been nominated by the bank’s president or CEO. The BCBA Convention is a valuable networking opportunity for our members, as well as an educational and fun event, not to be missed.
